Good Evening Kingswood Families,

Pink Shirt Day:

Tomorrow (Wednesday February 23rd) is national Pink Shirt Day. Students are encouraged to wear a pink (or red) shirt to school to stand up against bullying and show their support for safe and inclusive schools and communities.

Student Registration:

February is registration month! If you have not yet registered your child for pre-primary or primary for the 2022-2023 school year, please do so as soon as possible.

Registration is only required if:

You are new to Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE)

Your child is beginning school in pre-primary or primary

(Please note: pre-primary children are not required to re-register for primary but we do need the Primary Choice Form from you indicating whether your child will be in the English or French Immersion Program

You have moved and will be attending a new school in HRCE

Please note: If you currently reside in the Kingswood catchment area you need to register at Kingswood. Decisions about the boundaries for the new Broad Street School have not yet been made. When these decisions are made and the school is ready to open they will get registration information from us.

African Heritage Month:

Some fabulous things have been happening in our classrooms to celebrate African Heritage Month. Be sure to ask your child what they have been learning this month and check us out on Twitter to see some of the great work students are doing at Kingswood!
